James Andrew Clark got his start writing short fiction and poetry under various psuedonyms for Dragon's Breath Magazine, Lip Think, Swagazine, Kimera, The Inditer, Panick Attack Magazine, and The Morpo Review. In 1996, he took over as chief editor and publisher of Swagazine and ran the publication for five years before moving on to explore other mediums of creative expression.
The mini-series Scar Tissue marked his debut into the world of writing comic books. Clark has also written numerous short comic book stories appearing in books published by Ronin Studios, Onyx Cross, Deadlight Studios, Wolfman Productions, Speakeasy Comics, and Dial R Studios.
In 2009, Clark and his Scar Tissue partner David Wachter created the weekly webcomic The Guns of Shadow Valley, a western/sci-fi serial adventure. In 2010, The Guns of Shadow Valley was nominated for the Eisner Award for "Best Digital Comic".
Jim resides in Santa Barbara with his wife and two children. In addition to writing fiction he also creates music and maintains a mostly neglected blog.
